The thrilling 2-2 draw between Everton and Liverpool in midweek brought the curtain down on the historic Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
The visitors were the favourites in the soccer betting odds at Betway to pick up three points, but a dramatic later equaliser scuppered their hopes.
This was the 120th time the two sides had met at Goodison and it is quite fitting that neither was able to add to their tally of 41 victories in the derby.

The demand for tickets for this fifth round FA Cup tie was so high that Liverpool decided to erect eight giant screens inside Anfield to show the match live.
Around 40,000 watched the match at Anfield, while almost 65,000 were lucky enough to be inside Goodison to watch a supremely tight contest.
Midfielder Alan Ball scored the only goal of the game to endear himself to a set of fans who subsequently afforded him legendary status.
Everton 4-4 Liverpool – FA Cup – February 20, 1991
Liverpool led four times in a pulsating FA Cup replay that ultimately ended Kenny Dalglish’s first term as manager of the club.
Graeme Sharp and Tony Cottee each scored twice to etch their names into Everton folklore and send the fifth-round tie to a second replay.
The second replay ended with a 1–0 win for Everton and ended the Reds’ hopes of winning the double. They also missed out on the league title to Arsenal.

Daniel Sturridge’s late equaliser salvaged a point for Liverpool after yet another classic Merseyside derby with Everton at Goodison.
Liverpool led 2-1 before two goals by Romelu Lukaku turned the game on its head. Sturridge netted late in the game to ensure the Reds took home a point.
Manchester City pipped Liverpool to the Premier League title by two points that season, although their goal difference was significantly superior.
