Best Overall Package

The FuboTV Elite plan ($79.99/month) is the best overall TV package to watch live soccer games. It offers more soccer networks than any other TV provider, including 166 channels. Channels cover top soccer leagues like the English Premier League, French Ligue 1, and Major League Soccer (MLS) in English and Spanish commentary. (You can watch all 64 games at the 2022 World Cup too)

If you’re looking for a lower monthly price, ESPN+ is your best option. Unfortunately, the subscription does not include traditional sports channels. However, you can still access out-of-market MLS games and soccer matches from the German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga, and English Football League.

In addition to a wide selection of movies and TV shows, Paramount+ offers some of the world’s top soccer leagues.  If you’re hoping to watch a specific league, we’ll tell you what channels score your favorites.

What Channels Does Soccer Air On?

Nowadays, you may only be able to access some soccer leagues via a single streaming service, so you need to be aware of the competitions your favorite football team participates in and where you must go to watch them.

Best Soccer Broadcasting Channels

We’ll explain in more detail how to watch and live stream soccer games.

BeIN Sports broadcasts the French Ligue 1, the African Cup of Nations, and the Turkish Super League.

Major League Soccer (MLS) and college soccer are broadcast on ESPN during the regular season. As of season 2023, all MLS games will broadcast on Apple TV.

With ESPN Plus, you can watch the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, American United Soccer League (USL), German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga, English Football League (EFL), The World’s Oldest Knock Out Tournament – The FA Cup, Carabao Cup (EFL Cup), Australian A-League Men and Women, Indian Super League, and even more.

The FOX Sports channels FS1, FS2, and FOX Deportes broadcast significant international soccer tournaments such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup, 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The only US broadcasters of English-language Premier League matches and the Olympics are NBC, NBCSN, USA Network, CNBC, and Peacock Premium.

At Paramount+, you can watch the UEFA Champions League, Italian Serie A, and the National Women’s Soccer League. There may also be games on CBS, CBS Sports Network, and CBS Sports HQ.

The FIFA World Cup and English Premier League are broadcast on Telemundo in Spanish.

There is live Spanish-language coverage of the UEFA Champions League, Mexican Liga MX, Liga MX Femenil, and MLS on Univision and its sister channels Galavisión, TUDN, and UniMás.

FuboTV

What Soocer Leagues Are On FuboTV?

When my friends ask me how to watch soccer games, this is my number one answer every time.  FuboTV has been compared to Netflix by some soccer fans. This is because most of fuboTV’s sports channels are included in its three main plans. It is the History Of Soccer’s preferred live TV streaming service for soccer and watching sport.

We recommend fuboTV’s Elite package. If you pay $79.99 monthly, you can watch 166+ channels and record 1,000 hours of content. More importantly, you will have access to over 30 channels that cover the best soccer leagues.

As a result, FuboTV shows more soccer matches per day than any other TV service. Within the platform, you can watch soccer on tv channels like NBCUniversal, FOX Sports, beIN Sports, ESPN, and Univision.

You can watch the English Premier League, French Ligue 1, MLS, and the FIFA World Cup through fuboTV alone with English commentary. In addition, you can follow UEFA Champions League, Mexican Liga MX, and MLS matches in Spanish.

FuboTV also offers channels you can add on if you want. You might also be interested in NFL RedZone and NBA League Pass if you’re into sports in general.

In addition, you can upgrade to International Sports Plus ($6.99 monthly) for eight additional soccer-heavy channels, including GolTV and FOX Soccer Plus.

Recommend Plan: Elite ($79.99/mo.)

Soccer channels: NBC, FOX, ESPN, beIN Sports, Univision, fubo Sports Network, and GolTV

Features: 1,000 hr. DVR, 10 simultaneous streams

ESPN Plus

There are more soccer leagues on ESPN+ than on any other streaming service. For only $6.99 a month, you’ll enjoy access to some of the world’s most significant soccer leagues and tournaments, including out-of-market MLS matches.

ESPN+ provides exclusive coverage of Spanish La Liga and the German Bundesliga, two of the world’s most popular leagues. Thus, Der Klassiker and El Clásico are under the same roof.

On ESPN+, every game from these leagues is available in English and Spanish, as well as on ABC and ESPN.

Without a subscription to cable, satellite, or live TV streaming service, ESPN+ is not able to include traditional ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNews) alongside its content.

In addition, because MLS and college soccer isn’t exclusive to ESPN+ the way some foreign leagues are, ESPN+ won’t provide you with all the matches from those leagues.

ESPN+

Recommend Plan: $6.99/mo. or $69.99/yr.

Soccer Leagues: Bundesliga, La Liga, Major League Soccer (MLS), Emirates FA Cup, English Football League (EFL), Carabao Cup (EFL Cup), Scottish Premiership, United Soccer League (USL), Eredivisie, A-League Men, A-League Women, and more

Features: On-demand ESPN content and ESPN+ originals

Paramount Plus

Paramount-Plus-Logo

It ranks second in popularity only to ESPN+. Paramount+ broadcasts every live match of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League.

You can see the top soccer teams in Europe on one app through these leagues. In addition, Paramount+ hosts matches from the Italian Serie A, Coppa Italia, National Women’s Soccer League, Scottish Premier League, CONCACAF, and AFC international.

Unlike ESPN+, Paramount+ is not primarily a sports streaming service. During the offseason or between matches of your favorite soccer leagues, you can stream thousands of TV episodes and movies.

Paramount+ offers two plans. You can stream local CBS stations live with its Essential plan ($4.99 a month) only if you want to watch ads and on-demand content. On the other hand, CBS’s Premium ($9.99 a month) plan comes with ad-free, on-demand content and in-app access.

ESPN+

Recommend Plan: $4.99–$9.99/mo.

Soccer Leagues: UEFA Champions League, Serie A, National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Argentina Liga Profesional de Fútbol, and more

Features: Large library of TV shows and movies

The Free Alternatives To Watch Soccer

It isn’t easy to find legal ways to watch soccer games without spending a dime, as most programs consist of extended highlights, replays, and analysis. However, several services will let you watch those.

FIFA+: Recently, FIFA launched a streaming service called FIFA+. You can stream soccer instantly and at no cost.  2,000 hours of content is in the archive, including video recordings of each men’s and women’s World Cup match.

Pluto TV: There are 200+ channels on this free service, including ESPN, CBS Sports HQ, beIN Sports Xtra, FOX Sports, and Major League Soccer.

The Roku Channel: Roku recently broke the 200-channel barrier with its free live TV service, including channels like Fubo Sports Network, PrendeTV, and Real Madrid TV.

Tubi: The company offers nearly 100 live and on-demand sports channels, including beIN Sports Xtra, FOX Sports, fubo Sports Network, and Real Madrid TV.

Xumo: 190+ free channels are available with this live and on-demand service, including FOX Deportes, FOX Sports, and fubo Sports Network.

Streamlocator To Watch soccer

Outside Of The United States

I currently reside in Thailand, so I have plenty of experience to share with you on how to watch soccer games from any location in the world.

The StreamLocator is a plug-and-play smart router that connects to your existing home or hotel router. It unblocks international streaming and live sports services on any WiFi-enabled device, including all Smart TVs and gaming consoles.

With the flick of a switch, change your location to access alternative soccer content libraries or avoid sports blackouts. No matter where you are in the world, you can enjoy 50+ of the most popular streaming and live sports services.

These hubs retail at $149 USD and include 12 months of service (after twelve months, the monthly cost is $5). VPNs and Smart DNS can be hit and miss. The Streamlocator is super easy to set up, requires no further action from me, and has always worked for the past three soccer seasons.

I like to listen to British or Australian commentators like Martin Tyler and Peter Drury. The Streamlocator allows me to watch BBC or SBS channels without buffering or blackouts.
